About Your Practitioners

At A Journey To Health, we have a husband and wife team of practitioners. Chris and Ellen Proveaux have a combined 35 years of healthcare experience. They each are Registered Nurses and Certified Natural Health Practitioners. They are blessed with a wonderful family and a supportive church. They give credit to The Lord for having each other, their health, and the opportunity to be servants to others.
Everyone who turns to natural medicine has a testimonial to share, and they have theirs as well. They are respected professionals in their field, and became victim to the same types of health problems that most of you are facing. In 2005, Ellen's personal journey began in natural health in an effort to change her husband's medical prognosis, which was grim. After a long medical and surgical ordeal, they were given treatment options that they felt was a sentence instead of hope. At that point they began to explore alternative options to add to their choices. They firmly believe in education as the greatest option for recovery from any situation.
With her longstanding medical background, this new information blended wonderfully to complete her practice as a holistic caregiver and changed her family's life forever. Chris recovered from a diagnosis of Eosinophilic gastritis, and is doing exceptionally great now. Ellen and her son had severe allergies, and took multiple allergy shots a week, as well as prescriptions. Ellen had Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and Endometreosis, and an anaphylactic Latex allergy. She now lives a life pain free and has no list of allergens to avoid. She and her son were able to comfortably stop all allergy interventions, as they are no longer plagued with any allergies. And her son enjoys a normal life as a child, playing with his dogs, going to other people's homes, without the worry of carrying his inhalers and allergy medications everywhere with him.
As everyone's health improved, Chris and Ellen were so impressed with the changes in their health and their lives, that they felt led to take their career along a different pathway. They each have a diverse critical care and emergency room background, but are following God's instructions. They have found their calling as Holistic Nurses.
Chris and Ellen are continuing their education through seminars, programs, clinics, and independent studies, and are currently licensed as RN's. They each have a long nursing history, familiar with the care of newborns, elders, and everyone in between.
